Shrimp and Bacon Jalapeño Popper Casserole

One of our favorite fan favorites.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound shrimp
  • 7-10 large jalapeños
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 2/3 cup cream cheese
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheddar
  • Real bacon bits
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped
  • *toppings: Chopped tomato, sour cream, additional chopped cilantro, chopped green onion, avocado

Directions per @anna_loves_avocado:

For this recipe I mixed 1 pound of shrimp with the mayonnaise and 2 teaspoons of the @dkhawaiian spicy seasoning blend. Mixed well.
Then I took my jalapeños and my shrimp out to my grill. I grilled my shrimp for only 1 to 2 minutes max! While I charred My jalapeño. Once back inside I cut the tops off my jalapeños and deseeded them. I laid them in the bottom of a greased baking dish. In a bowl, I combined my shrimp along with the cheddar cheese, bacon bits, cilantro and cream cheese. I mixed it well and added it on top of the jalapeños. I spread it evenly across my baking dish. Then I sprinkled more cheddar cheese on top and a little bit more of the @dkhawaiian spice blend. I baked it in my preheated oven at 350° for 20 minutes.

Da Kine Rubbed French Green Beans

Serves 10

25 minutes

Ingredients:

Directions:
1. Heat a couple Tbs. or so of oil to a frying pan on medium heat.
2. Add garlic and French Green Beans and sauté.
3. Generously season the green beans wih Da Kine Hawaiian Original Rub.
4. Continue cooking the beans until done. Some people like it well done, some like it a little crispy. Cook it the way you like it!

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

If you don't like Brussels Sprouts, now you will!!!

Serves 10

Ingredients

Directions:
1.  Trim the end of the Brussels sprouts and cut in half.  
2.  Put brussels in a bowl and drizzle with olive oil and season generously with Da Kine Hawaiian Original Rub. 
3.  Place on baking sheet lined with tin foil and spray lightly with cooking spray. 
4.  Bake at 400 degrees for about 35-45 minutes or until nice and brown.  Turn over once during baking.  
5.  Season again with Original Rub after baking.  
6.  Chop up bacon and brown in a pan. Season with Da Kine Smoky Rub.  
7.  Drain oil.  Add bacon to the Brussels sprouts.  Enjoy!
Optional:
Mix about 3-4 Tbs. of Honey and 3-4 Tbs. of balsamic vinegar together and drizzle on the brussels and bacon.  Sooo good!

Taco Pasta Salad

Taco Pasta Salad

This Da Kine Hawaiian Taco Pasta Salad is great for large groups! This is how we made them.

Serves 10

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. Rotini pasta
  • 1 lb ground hamburger
  • 1 can red kidney beans
  • Grated cheddar cheese
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Romaine lettuce
  • Fritos (or crushed up taco shells
  • Da Kine Hawaiian Island Dressing

 

1. Cook pasta according to directions on package.  Drain and let cool.
2. Fry up hamburger to preferred temperature.  Let cool.
3. Combine pasta with hamburger, kidney beans, tomatoes, lettuce, and cheddar cheese.
4. Toss with Da Kine Island Dressing and add crushed Fritos.  Serve immediately. Enjoy!
