A.K.A. "Da Bomber Sandwich"

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. May use store bought Kalua Pig or make your own pulled pork.
  2. Season pork with Da Kine Hawaiian Smoky Rub.
  3. Toast French Roll in oven or on grill.
  4. Put pulled pork on French Roll.
  5. Drizzle with Da Kine Hawaiian Smoky BBQ Sauce or any of our BBQ Sauces.
  6. Top with Da Kine Hawaiian Coleslaw. To make the Coleslaw, mix equal amounts of Da Kine Hawaiian Pineapple Syrup and Da Kine Hawaiian Island Dressing with the slaw. If you like it creamy, add a tablespoon or so of mayonnaise.

Da Kine Pineapple Macadamia Pancakes

Serves 4

Ingredients:

(Yields 8 Pancakes) Directions:
1. Combine milk with vinegar in a medium bowl and set aside for 5 minutes to “sour.”
2. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
3. Whisk egg and butter into “soured” milk.
4. Pour the flour mixture into the wet ingredients and whisk until lumps are gone.
5. Heat a large skillet over medium heat, and coat with macadamia oil or cooking spray.
6. Pour ¼ cup fulls of batter onto the skillet, and cook until bubbles appear on the surface. Flip with a spatula, and cook until browned on the other side.
7. Drizzle pancakes with Da Kine Hawaiian Pineapple Syrup and sprinkle some honey glazed macadamia nuts on top.
8. Optional: Top with whipped cream

Da Kine Pineapple Grilled Chicken

Directions:
1. Mix ½ c. Da Kine Hawaiian Pineapple Syrup with ½ c. Da Kine Hawaiian BBQ Sauce in a small bowl.
2. Rub raw chicken with Da Kine Hawaiian Original Rub.
3. BBQ chicken. While BBQing chicken, baste with the pineapple syrup/BBQ sauce mixture.

Da Kine Pineapple Rum Cake

Da Kine Pineapple Rum Cake

Serves 10, 45 minutes

Ingredients:

        • 1 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
        • 1 (18.5 ounce) package yellow cake mix (Duncan Hines)
        • 1 (3.4 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
        • 4 eggs
        • 1/2 c. water
        • 1/2 c. vegetable oil
        • 1/2 c. dark rum
        • 3/4 c. crushed pineapple marinated in rum
        • Da Kine Hawaiian Pineapple Syrup

    Glaze

    Optional whipped topping instead of glaze

          • 2 c. heavy whipping cream
          • 2 oz of coconut rum (or light rum if you don't have coconut rum)
          • 4 Tbs. confectioner's sugar
          • 3 oz Da Kine Pineapple Syrup folded into whipped cream mixture
      Directions:
      1.  Preheat oven to 325 degrees.  
      2.  Grease and flour a 10 inch Bundt pan. 
      3.  Sprinkle chopped nuts evenly over the bottom of pan.
      4.  In large bowl, combine cake mix and pudding mix.  
      5.  Mix in the eggs, 1/2 c. water, 1/2 c. oil, and 1/2 c. rum and blend well. 
      6.  Pour over chopped nuts in pan.
      7.  Bake in preheated oven for 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted into the cake come out clean.  
      8.  Let sit for 10 minutes in the pan, then turn out onto serving plate. 
      9.  Brush glaze over top and sides. Allow cake to absorb glaze and repeat until all glaze is used. 

      Glaze

      1.  In a saucepan, combine butter, Da Kine Pineapple Syrup, and white sugar. 
      2.  Bring to a boil over medium heat and continue to boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
      3.  Remove from heat and stir in 1/2 c. rum.
